The local driver
Article 4 requires in-scope AI providers and deployers to support the development of staff AI literacy, considering experience, responsibilities, systems and the people affected.

Article 4 applies now. Separate training and oversight duties for most Annex III high-risk systems apply from 2 December 2027; product-related high-risk rules follow in August 2028.
There is no prescribed Article 4 course, mandatory certificate or guaranteed individual literacy score. A written acceptable-use policy is a practical control, not a blanket Article 4 mandate.
Context reviewed 31 October 2026. Applicability depends on the entity, activities and AI use case.
Built around your work
We start with the tools, decisions and people. Then we connect the rules to learning and records, using the policies and training you already have where useful.
From policy to practice
Actual use cases, practical boundaries, role-specific learning and records tied to the work people do.
Illustrative learning preview · Not an assessment
A colleague wants to summarise a confidential client report in a public AI assistant. That use is not approved. What should they do?
Something useful to show
An internal evidence pack showing what has been defined, taught, acknowledged and reviewed. Records support governance; they are not legal certification.
